After studying in Belfast, China, Guatemala and the United States, Glenn moved to England to teach in 2004. His many roles of responsibility leading up to his most recent position as Deputy Head of School in a local Medway Academy have included: Head of NQT/OTT Mentoring, Head of MFL, Director of Teaching & Learning and Raising Standards Leader. His current specialism is Data, Assessment and Reporting, although he has a particular passion for Pupil Premium and has also been the Designated Child Protection Officer and Safeguarding lead.
Glenn has been a Specialist Leader of Education with the Medway Teaching Schools Alliance since 2010 for Modern Foreign Languages, Initial Teaching Training and Mentoring and has served on the governing body of several local schools for many years as well as being an elected co-optee on to the Deputy Heads Council for the NAHT. He feels very much a part of the community and is proud to be committed to both the Castle Trust and Delce Academy in support of their excellent work to date.
In his free-time he is extremely active in amateur dramatics and as well as performing, Glenn serves on the committee for a local theatre group as secretary/treasurer and plays the piano. When he has some spare-time he frequently takes off to fields unknown and enjoys many an adventure abroad.
Caroline began her career as an archaeologist after completing a BA and a Masters degree at Sheffield University. She worked as a field archaeologist in London and then in post excavation analysis and publication in Oxford. In 2005 she moved into project management with the London Borough of Bexley. She has worked part time now at Bexley Council for 10 years and completed a number of new build and refurbishment projects including libraries and community centres. She is a Prince 2 Practitioner and has gained considerable experience in both project management and in the specification, design and fit out phases of development.
She has 3 girls who will all be making their journey through Delce Academy and hopes to be able to use her professional experience to contribute towards the exciting expansion of the school.
I am currently a Governor at Delce Academy and the Trust's Chief Finance Officer (CFO). I am also a Director of the Trust. I have enjoyed working as the Business Manager at Delce Academy since 2003 and as CFO of the Trust since 2015. I am a Specialist Leader in Education supporting colleagues in matters of School Business and Finance.
I am proud to be part of an inspirational and committed team of staff and governors ensuring the very best opportunities for all children within the trust community.
Joy is a former local authority primary adviser and headteacher of two primary schools. She has worked extensively with highly achieving schools and also supporting schools in challenging circumstances. Joy has been a Member of Castle Trust since its foundation, having supported the predecessor school, Delce Junior School, for many years previously. Joy is also a Member of Greenway Academy in Horsham and a Trustee of Gillingham FC Community Trust.
Karen joined Delce Academy as its Headteacher in 2009 and has supported the school through its improvement and journey to academy status. She is now Chief Executive of the Castle Trust.
