Inspire Partnership update on full school opening

9th July 2020

As you will have seen in the news, the government announced last week plans for all pupils to return to school from September.  We are delighted with this announcement and are all very excited about the prospect of all children being back learning within the school environment.  Although schools have been partially open throughout the lockdown period, we want children to know how much we have missed not being with you all.

At each of our schools, staff are working hard to ensure schools are planned and prepared for children returning.  This includes:

  • Completing risk assessments to ensure pupil groupings and classrooms are prepared for full re-opening
  • Ensuring all schools have undertaken a deep clean
  • Preparing curriculum plans we intend to use for the beginning of the new year so that every child is able to make the best possible progress over the coming academic year

Schools will communicate with you separately to outline their detailed plans with you.  You will receive information about any amendments to the school timetable and also which groupings children will be in as we look to expand their group ‘bubbles’.  Each school will follow the government guidelines regarding health and safety.  The latest guidance can be found at the DfE website using this address: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/what-parents-and-carers-need-to-know-about-early-years-providers-schools-and-colleges-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak

At Trust level, we will continue to support and work with schools to ensure they are able to open safely.  Headteachers are meeting regularly to review plans and share risk assessments.  We will also work closely with parents, governors and professional associations to ensure our plans for full school opening are shared in an open and transparent way.  Should you wish to ask any questions, please speak to your school’s headteacher in the first instance.

On behalf of the Inspire Partnership, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support for your child’s school
