There are dozens of different social media platforms available now, and whilst we as adults and parents may use them on a daily basis, do we know and understand the potential effects of our children using these. Please remember that most social media platforms have age restrictions many of these are rated for use by children 13 or older. So do check before letting your child download a new app. If it's an app you are unfamiliar with or even one you use regularly, take the time to talk to your child about it and highlight your need to keep them safe. Do be open with your child and be available to listen to them if they have any problems or concerns.
